hey sorry for not posting in ages...lots has happened i guess...went to two birthday things...lukes and sams.
luke had an open mic thing where people just came and jammed out and it was pretty sweet...they did the back yard up all nice with spotlights and fairy lights and had sofas and bean bags all out...pretty good!

on saturday we went to avalon beach...oh my! it is SO beautiful....the best beach ive ever seen!!! wowzers! and i got really tan from just being there a couple of hours even though i wore factor 30!
we buried bridgette in sand...and i fully went in the water and got drenched many a time....it was awesome the temp was 33c during the day which didn't feel that hot by the beach because of the yum sea breeeeeze

ok so today we did car park team for hillsong women...this is what we do every thursday morning and its ace! :D this is hannah, jess, breanna and me rockin out that place!

ok so hannah has this habit of leaving as fast as possible so last one out the house cant get in the car.
id like to mention i was the first guinea pig for this experiment....and what can i say...but ive set a standard noone has yet met

this has resulted in piling into the car rather violently...
or jumping through windows whilst the car is still moving (1st: elena 2nd: jes)

ok so we woke up this morning to find our house had been TP-ed! (toilet papered) i think its an american thing! we still don't know who did it! this is us cleaning it all up after school was done! hahah

the northern beaches ..which are the nearest ones to us and here are some happy snaps! we had real good chicken burgers meals which were huge for just $6.00....yey! the beaches here are more rural and not touristy...yesss!

hey sorry i havent posted in a while...
college has been really cool this week...i reckon im getting into the timetable now...on tuesday mornings we have doctrine 2...which is basically theology and stuff and that class is awesome! this danish dude teaches it and he's funny :) throughout the week i have various classes on worship and music theory...but i've been able to RPL that stuff (recognition of prior learning) because i've done the basics in music theory which means i can take more pastoral electives and other interesting stuff in place which is heaps cool.

this week we had a conference called grace & favour led by pastor joseph prince from singapore...omgsh the messages were so powerful and totally changed my outlook on what i believe in and why i believe it. mom i got the CDs and DVD of it and i'm gonna send them to you! its pretty cool because i serve in the audio and dubbing department so i get CDs n stuff free :D

k so after the conference we took some happy snaps in and around church

so we went to parramatta which is this huge shopping mall nearby...like a 20min drive...
it is so big its insane...like imagine the bullring centre x 6...like seriously.
so we were out looking for a vacuum cleaner but couldn't really find any sweet deals..omgsh the food courts here are fab to the max. they have every kind of cuisine ever and in buffet form..so all you can eat for like $7 which is only about 3 pounds.. check that out! me and hannah had chinese this time :D its a really good thing for takeaways, so after a hard days shopping then you can go get a buffet takeaway and pack your lil tub they give you and bring it home...mmm :)
tried to look for some SD memory cards whilst i was out for my cam but they're pretty pricey. clothes here are pretty cheap though. there are skinny pants (trousers) here everywhere for around 12 pounds and things...tops for 8 pounds...the most expensive tops ive seen so far are like 17 pounds...so its all pretty sweet here. so girls...heres your next stop.

i thought i would post a few snaps of some of the properties here...i seem to be endlessly amazed with how good it all is here...all the pics here are of houses on our road or the surrounding area so maybe you can all have a glimpse of sydney life and see that my house is really one of the smallest lol. they are all real cheap too and things...katie from canada has just moved into our house which means there is now six of us living here...how good is that! she's such a sweetie :) we might look for a better place in bella vista in six months or so....not sure yet because everyone around where we live is so cool and things but hey.
i love that everyone lives closeby and we can hang out without too much travelling...so different to when i used to be at school and everyone lived so far apart.
sydney is a good place. maybe you should come visit :)

ok so college has been wow this last week....like full on! intensive is over and we start normal classes tomorrow....the sessions were really good though. i had my first friday as a wildlife leader which was pretty cool....the kids are great and get me really pumped because you know, sometimes younger kids are more honest or whatever about their faith and receiving God with open arms...i love it.
the weather has been pretty crap lately...like thundering and storming everyday. its cool to watching the lightening because it's way more exciting here..the lightening bolts and HUGE. and then their were hailstones as big as rocks! but yeah its prreetty rainy currently but it's gonna look up from wednesday onwards. we've been catching a ride with hannah to church everyday. shes such an angel, we are so blessed with her generosity and things! :) so yeah because its quite freezing loads of us pack into the car....here are a few amusing snaps! we got people that go in the trunk a few times too lol!

hey so i had this birthday gathering which was pretty cool and we made the place look really cute with balloons or whatever but it was pretty much me and kim (new ace korean girl i met at church) who just played all night with the camera and with sparklers....lol it was fun...the sparklers were great..we bought like 100!!! hahaha...a heap of people came round and we all just hung out which was nice. nothing too crazy...spesh as its so busy n all....
thank you so much everyone for your messages and gifts and all....im so grateful to have your love and support whilst im here...my first birthday away from home! so strange!

ok so technically i should give you an update on my birthday as that was yesterday but im gonna do that when i get some photos loaded from it. started college now...gosh its crazy busy. but its all good. been having some fun times :) but the days are pretty chocca...!
ok so i thought id entertain you with some snaps of our trip to the blue mountains the other week. the blue mountains national park is about an hours drive from where i live. its so so so great i think i had the best flipping day of my life there!

everything is so beautiful and we walked on waterfalls and took one of theworlds steepest train rides through the mountains....the top pictures is the "three sisters" we actually got to walk on them as they have built stairs all around each one which is ace! and there is a bridge between the first and second one :)
this second picture down is actually by one of the sisters..and the other picture is all of us on the stairway by another sister!











this other picture is the waterfall we stood on which was amazing!!! you could feel the spray all over you...in the photo of us four girls you can see all the spray from the waterfall...man we got so wet! but it was awesome!!! :) what a great day! im definately coming here again....!!! we got to the top of all these cliffs and then starting praying and stuff because God felt so real and his creation...man i was just full of awe. what a great God!!!!
